Configuring SSL trust for a self-signed certificate in Oracle Service Bus

Sounds reasonably simple, huh? Apparently not. It seems like OSB has a keystore or keystores of its own, to get the trusted CAs from.

First tried to add the self-signed cert presented by a remote server to the <jre>/lib/security/cacerts file. No luck.

WebLogic actually reads the trusted CAs from a keystore configured in the “Custom Trust Keystore” under “Keystores” tab in the WebLogic Server Admin console. WIN! 🙂
